Pelvic Floor Therapy in Pleasant Grove

A key part of our treatment approach is the pelvic floor chair, which uses electromagnetic stimulation to activate and strengthen deep pelvic muscles.

This technology delivers thousands of controlled muscle contractions in a single session, far exceeding what can typically be achieved through traditional pelvic floor exercises alone.

One of the biggest advantages is simplicity. Patients remain fully clothed during treatment, making it a comfortable and accessible option for those who want effective results without invasive procedures or discomfort.

How the Pelvic Floor Chair Works

The pelvic floor chair works by stimulating the muscles responsible for bladder control, core stability, and pelvic support.

These repeated contractions help retrain and strengthen weakened muscles, improving their ability to function properly over time. As the muscles become stronger and more coordinated, patients often experience noticeable improvements in control, stability, and comfort.

Each session is quick, non-invasive, and requires no downtime, making it easy to integrate into a normal schedule without disruption.

Women’s Pelvic Floor Therapy in Pleasant Grove

Pelvic floor dysfunction is especially common among women, particularly during pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and later stages of life. Our women’s pelvic floor therapy in Pleasant Grove is designed to restore strength, improve function, and support long-term pelvic health.

Treatment is commonly sought for urinary incontinence, postpartum weakness, pelvic discomfort, and core instability. Beyond addressing symptoms, our approach focuses on rebuilding foundational strength that supports overall movement and daily comfort.

At Timpanogos Physical Therapy, care is always delivered with professionalism, privacy, and a strong focus on patient comfort throughout the entire process.

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy for Men in Pleasant Grove

Pelvic health is just as important for men, though it is often overlooked. Our pelvic floor physical therapy for men addresses issues such as bladder control challenges, core weakness, and post-procedure recovery.

This treatment can be especially beneficial following prostate procedures, as well as for men experiencing urinary urgency, leakage, or decreased core stability.

Using the pelvic floor chair in Pleasant Grove, men can strengthen these deep muscles in a controlled, non-invasive way that supports both function and confidence.

Benefits of Pelvic Floor Therapy

Pelvic floor therapy provides a wide range of benefits that go beyond symptom relief. By strengthening the core foundation of the body, it supports better overall function and long-term stability.

Patients often experience improved bladder and bowel control, increased core strength, reduced discomfort or pressure, and a greater sense of confidence in daily life.

At Timpanogos Physical Therapy, our goal is not just improvement, but long-term restoration of pelvic function and quality of life.

What to Expect During Treatment

Each session is simple, efficient, and comfortable. You will sit on the pelvic floor chair while the device delivers controlled electromagnetic stimulation to the targeted muscles.

Most patients describe the sensation as a series of strong, repetitive contractions similar to an intense workout for the pelvic floor. The treatment is well-tolerated, requires no recovery time, and allows you to resume normal activities immediately afterward.

Your provider will develop a personalized treatment plan based on your specific needs and goals to ensure optimal progress over time.

I’ve had an excellent experience at Timpanogos Physical Therapy. The team is professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping you feel better and reach your goals. I came in for shockwave therapy, electromagnetic therapy, and body sculpting, and every part of the process has been smooth, comfortable, and well explained. What stood out most was how attentive and encouraging the staff were. Phil always took the time to answer my questions. Kelsey really explained what each treatment was doing, and make sure I felt comfortable throughout each session. The newcomer, Ellie, makes sure the environment is welcoming, upbeat, and very professional. I’ve been really impressed with the care, the technology, and the overall experience. I would absolutely recommend Timpanogos Physical Therapy to anyone looking for a team that combines advanced treatment options with thoughtful, personalized care.

I can’t say enough good things about Timpanogos Physical Therapy. Everyone there is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I’ve been experiencing back pain since last October and nothing I was doing was relieving the pain, and as someone who was honestly pretty skeptical about physical therapy, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Dr. Phil was able to help me understand what was really going on and helped me get relief almost immediately, which completely changed my perspective on physical therapy. Every time I go in, I feel better than I did when I walked in, and I’m becoming more and more confident that this is finally going to fix the pain I’ve been dealing with for so long. I’m extremely thankful I decided to give them a chance and for all the help they’ve given me. If you’re experiencing any kind of pain or are on the fence about physical therapy, I highly recommend Timpanogos Physical Therapy. They genuinely care about helping you feel better, and they know what they’re doing!

I found out about pelvic floor chairs from a friend and started looking for places that offered sessions in Utah County. I found Timpanogos PT’s offering for an initial consultation and 1st session for $49. When I met Dr Phil Richards he told me he offered the lowest rates in the valley. I checked several other places and the next best price was about double theirs. Dr. Richards and the other staff are very friendly and kind. I can tell the sessions are making a difference too.

Highly recommend this physical therapy clinic! The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about their patients. I did the EMS Body Sculpting service and loved it! They took the time to explain the service, answered all my questions, and created an experience tailored to my needs. The atmosphere is welcoming, Ellie and Phil were so great to work with and I can’t wait to go back! Great experience from start to finish!
