How EMTT Works

1

Evaluation & Screen

We review your history, goals, and medical background to confirm EMTT is safe and appropriate for you. A quick screening rules out contraindications like pacemakers or certain implants.

2

Position the Coil

You stay fully clothed. We position the treatment coil over the target region — no contact with skin required.

3

5–20 Min Session

Rapid, high-intensity magnetic pulses penetrate deeply into your tissue. You'll feel a rhythmic pulsing or tapping — mild and tolerable. Some patients notice muscle twitches.

4

Stack With Other Tools

We combine EMTT with shockwave, manual therapy, or exercise in the same session for maximum effect — especially for stubborn, regional pain patterns.

Curious if EMTT could help you?

Who's a Good Candidate?

Chronic low back, neck, joint, neuropathy, or nerve-related pain that hasn't fully responded to standard treatment
Sports injuries, overuse injuries, and stubborn inflammation that need deeper healing support
Bone-related injuries, healing fractures, nonunion fractures, or post-immobilization recovery where stimulating osteoblast activity, bone remodeling, and bone healing is a key part of recovery
Post-surgical stiffness, swelling, sensitivity, or lingering pain that is slowing down recovery
Arthritis, irritated joints, tendon pain, or soft tissue injuries where reducing pain and improving function are the goal
Patients who want a powerful, non-invasive treatment option that can stimulate healing without pressure, needles, or intense hands-on treatment

What Patients Commonly Notice

Noticeable pain reduction as deep tissues calm down and the body's healing response becomes more active
A lighter, looser feeling in the treated area as inflammation, deep ache, and tissue irritation begin to settle
Improved recovery in stubborn conditions involving joints, nerves, tendons, bone, and soft tissue
Better movement, strength, and activity tolerance as pain decreases and deeper healing progresses
Enhanced results when EMTT is combined with shockwave therapy, hands-on treatment, and targeted exercise
Powerful non-invasive healing support for deeper injuries that are difficult to reach with traditional therapy alone

Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy: Supporting Healing at the Source

Our approach to pulsed magnetic field therapy is designed to work beneath the surface, targeting tissues that may not respond fully to traditional treatments alone.

By delivering controlled magnetic pulses into the body, this therapy helps improve oxygenation, increase circulation, and support cellular regeneration. The result is a more efficient healing environment, especially in areas affected by inflammation, stress, or reduced blood flow.

Each session is tailored to your condition, ensuring that treatment is both precise and effective.

How Electromagnetic Therapy Works

Electromagnetic therapy works by stimulating cellular activity through low-frequency pulsed magnetic fields. These fields interact with your body’s natural electrical systems, encouraging cells to function more efficiently.

As cellular energy production increases, the body is better able to repair damaged tissue, regulate inflammation, and restore normal movement patterns. This makes electromagnetic healing therapy in Pleasant Grove particularly valuable for conditions where healing has slowed or stalled.

Rather than masking symptoms, this approach supports recovery at its foundation, helping the body do what it’s designed to do, just more effectively.

Benefits of Electromagnetic Therapy

One of the biggest advantages of electromagnetic therapy is how naturally it fits into the recovery process. Treatments are comfortable, non-invasive, and require no downtime, making them easy to incorporate into both rehabilitation and wellness routines.

Patients often experience reduced pain and stiffness, improved mobility, and faster recovery from injuries. Over time, the therapy can also support long-term tissue health, helping prevent recurring issues and maintain better overall function.

Conditions Treated with Electromagnetic Therapy

Electromagnetic therapy is highly versatile and can be used to support a wide range of conditions. It is commonly recommended for joint and muscle pain, soft tissue injuries, and post-surgical recovery.

It can also be effective for managing chronic inflammation and stiffness, as well as supporting recovery for active individuals and athletes. By incorporating electromagnetic therapy into a broader treatment plan, patients often see improved outcomes and a more complete recovery.

A Personalized, Integrated Approach

At Timpanogos Physical Therapy, no two treatment plans are the same. Your care is designed around your specific condition, goals, and how your body responds to therapy.

Electromagnetic therapy is often combined with other services, such as manual therapy or guided exercise, to enhance results and support long-term improvements in strength, mobility, and performance.

Sessions are delivered in a controlled, comfortable environment using advanced technology, allowing for precise application and consistent progress.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is electromagnetic therapy?
Electromagnetic therapy in Pleasant Grove uses pulsed magnetic fields to stimulate cellular repair, improve circulation, and reduce pain.
Is pulsed magnetic field therapy safe?
Yes. Pulsed magnetic field therapy is safe, non-invasive, and well-tolerated when performed by trained professionals.
What conditions can it help treat?
It is commonly used for joint and muscle pain, soft tissue injuries, chronic inflammation, post-surgical recovery, and general wellness support.
How many sessions will I need?
Treatment plans vary depending on your condition and goals. Your provider will create a personalized schedule based on your needs.
What is electromagnetic healing therapy?
Electromagnetic healing therapy in Pleasant Grove supports cellular energy production, promotes natural repair, and helps accelerate recovery from injury or chronic pain.
Is EMTT the same as PEMF or magnetic mats?
No. EMTT uses much higher frequencies and field strengths than typical consumer PEMF devices, and is delivered via a clinical-grade coil with deep-tissue penetration up to 18 cm. Consumer PEMF products operate at much lower power levels and reach far shallower into tissue.
Will I feel anything during treatment?
Yes — you’ll usually feel a rhythmic pulsing or tapping sensation in the area we’re treating. Some people notice mild muscle twitching. It shouldn’t be painful. We adjust based on your feedback.
Can EMTT replace exercise or rehab?
No. EMTT is a powerful amplifier, not a substitute for good rehab. The best results come when we pair it with progressive loading, hands-on care, and a plan that fits your life.
Who shouldn't get EMTT?
We do not use EMTT on patients with pacemakers, implanted defibrillators, certain metal implants, during pregnancy, or with certain active cancers. We screen everyone thoroughly before starting.

Deep Reach Without Discomfort

EMTT penetrates up to 18 centimeters into tissue — reaching tendons, joints, and structures that surface-level treatments can't touch. Patients typically feel warmth and subtle muscle activation, not pain.

I’ve had an excellent experience at Timpanogos Physical Therapy. The team is professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping you feel better and reach your goals. I came in for shockwave therapy, electromagnetic therapy, and body sculpting, and every part of the process has been smooth, comfortable, and well explained. What stood out most was how attentive and encouraging the staff were. Phil always took the time to answer my questions. Kelsey really explained what each treatment was doing, and make sure I felt comfortable throughout each session. The newcomer, Ellie, makes sure the environment is welcoming, upbeat, and very professional. I’ve been really impressed with the care, the technology, and the overall experience. I would absolutely recommend Timpanogos Physical Therapy to anyone looking for a team that combines advanced treatment options with thoughtful, personalized care.

I found out about pelvic floor chairs from a friend and started looking for places that offered sessions in Utah County. I found Timpanogos PT’s offering for an initial consultation and 1st session for $49. When I met Dr Phil Richards he told me he offered the lowest rates in the valley. I checked several other places and the next best price was about double theirs. Dr. Richards and the other staff are very friendly and kind. I can tell the sessions are making a difference too.

They took the time to explain the service, answered all my questions, and created an experience tailored to my needs. The atmosphere is welcoming, Ellie and Phil were so great to work with and I can’t wait to go back! Great experience from start to finish!

From the moment you walk through the door, you immediately know you’re in good hands. Their professionalism, compassion, and genuine concern for each patient are evident in every interaction. They take the time to listen, encourage, and expertly guide you through every step of the rehabilitation process. I have come to Timpanogus PT twice so far. I had a big gap between 1st and second time. My first visit was the Pel Ch and it lasted much longer than expected. Maybe one of the best life decisions. Lol. Also Ellie and the staff both times has been literally so great to work with. It feels like they genuinely care about the wellbeing of the patients. Also, my web browser gave me a strange phone number. I have new time available and will do as much as I can here. AlSo if you can’t reach them, look them up on Instagram for phone number. But I did let them know so I’m sure they’ll probably fix it.
